Giant Ice World

Giant Ice World

The Giant Ice World in Werfen is the biggest ice cave in the world. Here, in the giant halls, you get to experience the majestic ice figures which are illuminated by historic carbide lamps and magnesium light.

During the summer months the average temperature inside the caves is 0° Celsius, so for the guided tours, which last around one hour, you should definitely bring some warm clothing with you. We also recommend sturdy footwear so you can get around inside the caves safely.

Open daily from 1st May to 26th October.
